A modest exposure

Late night listening on the BBC

Late night listening on the BBC is controlled by the police and in the South RTE is monitored by the Gardai because they like to listen in and don't like to be mocked or hear about their work which is difficult at the best of times.

Left wingers and spies within the BBC and RTE keep the police informed about broadcasters, particularly news broadcasters. Both groups like to think they can control news broadcasters but they often cannot.

Eve Rosetti is one of those spies who works for the British Army and police. Colm Bryce tried to muscle in on the act but he couldn't because he is a serving Irish Army officer.

In the South of Ireland, this role is occupied by John Murray,Niall Farrell and Eugene Mc Cartan, all informants for the Gardai and Department of the Taoiseach. They are paid from Secret Service funds though not as much as they would like. They are holders of substantial amounts of bearer bonds.
