 An old legal saying regarding damages is also relevant to the NHS: if you don't need a doctor or solicitor, don't go to them.

It follows...

It is clear that the pick-up of medical advice is dangerously low in England and Wales if a little common sense is applied to patient waiting lists.

If patients do not present before doctors there will be no waiting lists in general hospitals...that is the sole reason why waiting lists are so low.

The Northern Presbyterian and Catholic does not listen to spurious comments about doctors but goes straight to the medical profession when he is concerned about his health and,in general, Irish mothers consult a doctor at the first sign of a problem unlike some people who I have had the misfortune to know.

Please,please,please take a doctor's advice and do  exactly what he tells you if you have any sense.

Criticism of doctors and catcalling about private medicine gets you absolutely nowhere before the courts unless there is a reasonable case to answer. Very few doctors set out to cause harm,the Asian and German halfwits apart.

Remember what your mother taught you as a child...it serves you in good fashion in later life. Her advice is a non sequitur, therefore: consult a doctor at the earliest opportunity if you think you have a problem with your health or physical well-being.

Secret tribunals? Provos bluffing their clients 

Another lesser truth which differentiates the meek at heart from the strong-willed or objectionable is the tendency of the weak-willed to try and spit the bit out to use an old horsey expression where there is legal or political controversy.

Those who live life in the social fast lane? Sinn Fein?

Most Sinn Fein representatives do nothing for anyone. Their leaders' world is a constant round of photo opportunities and media hype and raking over the ashes of the past,having others arrested and sentenced by secret tribunals.

Secret tribunals sit in Stormont Castle under the auspices of the Supreme Judicature for Northern Ireland.In one of these tribunals, Kathleen Gleeson was the sole witness against myself. A woman giving evidence on her own to any sort of tribunal of any type is an untried and untested witness. Like Kathleen Ni Houlihan she must wonder why her children have all deserted her and went to America on the emigrant ship in the nineteenth century and the plane in the twentieth century. 

The answer? 

She was like her namesake, Kathleen Gleeson, sending out children to do a man's job such as concealing weapons. Miss Caulfield and her paramour made a good living carrying stories back to the RUC. She was regularly brought in for debriefing by Inspector Ronnie Nixon of Lisnaskea Police Station in the early 1980's.

It is clear to me and any knowledgeable person that politicians make common cause against the electorate,that the Workers Party and SDLP have been completely out manoeuvred by Sinn Fein's mixture of tact and guile and a combination of irresolute inflexibility and obstinacy on their part. Most fringe politics is completely irrelevant.

Adams has buried hope of an SDLP revival and is persona non grata in Washington and Dublin for doing so. Likewise,the CDU/CSU have utterly routed the SPD in Germany.

There is no such thing as an honest politician but we MUST ALWAYS vote for someone who is consistent if nothing else.AN END to A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES of backstabbers and followers of sects and once influential parties which do not renew themselves with "young people" (Sean Lynch).

The small rewards of his minor circumstance.A grudging nod to Martin Mc Guinness for a timely intervention

Michael Woods and Charles Haughey were my Irish government sponsors against the British Army and the Irish Communist dissemblers when I was targeted for active measures in London. For staying the course to peace and an end to violence Martin Mc Guinness,John Hume and Gerry Adams must be remembered. The drunken hooligans who want to prolong violence,destruction and death should be utterly condemned.

On 23 December 1991 Martin Mc Guinness intervened directly with the revolutionary canaille such as O Riordain and the Dublin Sinn Fein riffraff,Fergal Connolly,Raymond Smith and Michael Morgan. He had decided to warn them off from further brutality and intimidation directed at myself. A leading part in this campaign of intimidation was played by the historic financier of Irish Communists, British Military Intelligence.

Dublin IRA affiliates involved in racketeering and loansharking subsequently formed the Smith-Kelly-Conway gang (the RIRA).

O Riordain,the chief agent  provocateur, was a convert to Judaism. He kept that fact a closely guarded secret apart from all but his closest acquaintances. He was given a secular funeral and covered his tracks well.

Mc Guinness had limited intellect and he had a glib tongue. His mistakes led to many defections but it was actually the  Good Friday Agreement which led to the juxtaposed arrangements which satisfy no-one. Those arrangements are already out-of-date. 

I expected bread-and-butter issues to predominate much earlier than 2011 here.

Mc Guinness like anyone else who had no rudimentary education or political etiquette relied on bully boy tactics to get his way. The IRA's  was a cult of violence, brutality and death.

The people who he attracted to the IRA were corner-boys and cowards with knives. He was what townies who don't take their orders from cornerboy and country bumpkins call a 'cut-out-of-the-hedge' boy.

As with Adams grunge writing,neither produced anything except political chaos which has led to industrial ruin and widespread drug addiction.

In a deathly parallel,Stalin did not crush legitimate demands for social progress but he crushed unnecessary literary and political frivolity at great cost in terms of human life. Lives were taken at will by those around him. Stalin and those around him wanted to prevent an enemy or series of enemies arising from within and a world war that could easily have been avoided if he had been guided by a spirit of peace and reconciliation and compromise with the English and Americans earlier and not displayed Bolshevik insensitivity, Marxist brutality, psychological desensitisation and acts of open cruelty and political thick-wittedness. Over-concentration on heavy industry, mirrored in China today, and political inflexibility does not detract from the unity and harmony created by Stalin.

Like all thieves,Stalin had a very stable temperament but was wary of doppelgangers and lousy orators (even speechifiers like Lenin and Trotsky and similar parade-ground marshals).

Why then did he unleash spies and armed thugs on his opponents like Heath,Taylor, Craig and Blair?

 In situations of great national difficulty or incipient civil war,a modern country may itself or through an organisation or proxy or sole trader,I am thinking of an errant French policeman such as Jonathan Girard and an unemployed barrister such as Brian Gerard Mc Cartney-he acted in association with with the CIA- poison rebellious students and members of the public with LSD,heroin and those substances which are their own recreation drugs of choice.

In times of war, a prison or the execution wall is the favoured option.

The key to political freedom and national liberty is strong defences. Also essential is a well-resourced army or militia-the latter is not suited to every jurisdiction,some are best served by reserve unarmed policemen- and with a health service as a shield not a sword of the police or the elite of business.

(A militia can quickly adapt to barracks conditions and strict discipline if its members are disciplined by the school of hard knocks or parade ground and have a fighting chance in any military conflict).

Nothing less,nothing more than strong defences in real emergencies.

Guidance 

The country canard has it,"It's a long way between cup and brow."Namely,that we should not act with alcohol clouding our limited faculties if we are in loose company. Similarly,if surrounded by thugs in military uniform or undercover  police. 

Only a democratically-elected government has the right to declare war . That excludes countries such as the historic USSR and Nazi Germany . Likewise,  Pearse  and Connolly's fictional Irish Republic unless someone such as Napoleon or Blair,Bush or Clinton or Merkel are sounding the clarion call for war in faraway places. Also,In those circumstances,waging a campaign of covert measures against a captive nation or engineering a civil and economic catastrophe for a vassal-state. There are few instances of that anymore other than Russia and the Israelis in the Middle East.

All governments and rulers should be held to account firstly in the national press,then in parliament or a democratic assembly.

Ultimately there must be recourse to the courts.

But,always at all stages open access to the press for public excoriation for mass murder and crimes against humanit.

Access to the International Criminal Court was something which was arguably not the case with Clinton in Yugoslavia and Blair, Bush and Rumsfeld in Iraq.

Doubtless,Blair believes that even one human being's life is inviolate and that its taking must be ruthlessly punished. The BBC Radio Four report of the killing by drowning of an Iraqi taxi driver's brother in a bath of acid seems to have influenced him greatly.

Ignore old sh... about police and armies not being necessary. We had both lictores and soldiers and slave-traders in ancient times.

Therefore,the whining of the hot gospeller in Strabane aside,Paul Brady,in an emergency we are all called to serve most of us under arms. Sadly,we all have to work on Maggie's Farm or box for Mike Maloney,Angelo Dundee or Frank Duff.
