The golden rule about politics and politicians

"The mouth speaks what the heart contemplates in silence"

A politician is a fickle character who often speaks another's part as does an actor. Sean Lynch spoke Manus Maguire's part with loose conviction because "Maguire hoped he could  throw the spotlight on me for setting up Mc Elwaine. Maguire split the money with Kathleen Gleeson and Seamus Caulfield. She wanted to go to America to try her luck there and cost Sinn Fein a safe seat later. Sean Lynch knows nothing about them or their old tricks and he is none the wiser as to their replacements at that game."

Sinn Fein is basically a mafia. We must confront these untrained polecats with Christian socialism and draw them towards centrism and moral sanity.

The South

This party wishes to ascend to power in the South, something it can never achieve.

Pursuit of the Golden Mean entails social consensus with generous provision for the poor and a public housebuilding programme. For that, resources and support are required. Traditionally,Fianna Fail is the only party that charts a course between rich and poor and believes in fair play. Sinn Fein is a party of protest, cigarette smugglers and dole and social welfare frauds. A law-governed state can not be built on terror, so, Southerners, put more thought into your voting choice and have nothing to do with those who do not openly clean out their byre by going to Mass in the first instance and respect the right to a good reputation and reasonable recompense and reparation for service rendered.

The historic compromise

The agreement between a right-wing party of drunken football captains,Irish Army officers and the penmen of trite certainties and stagnation with Fianna Fail is absolutely necessary to preserve political sanity. That is not to say that Christy Burke or the late Tony Gregory as elected community representatives had nothing to commend them. However while Walter Mittys such as Adams dominate the politics of discontent with an ever-changing coterie of young women, those who fought with bomb and bullet are viewed as hasbeens and treated like dirt by Sinn Fein. It is a use-and-abuse party run from Belfast. In that it is no different from any bourgeois socialist or republican party. Only Fianna Fail can deliver public decency where people's good character is assailed by people with connections to the British Home Office. Make no mistake about that, anybody.

Fianna Fail represents the real beating heart, the honest, decent, hardworking people of Ireland, the salt of the earth, and good upright women and housewives. Southern Sinn Fein are only criminals, gangsters and drunken thugs who beat people up outside public houses and are an affront to public decency. Their electoral rise represents a rejection of good sense and the elementary principles of justice. If you vote Sinn Fein,it is business as usual for those who buy your vote with alcohol, your children being forced to take the emigrant boat and plane, bank robberies and swindling the taxpayer. In the North of Ireland there are 380 000 on sick pay. A yawning chasm of financial illiquidity, personal debt and economic collapse beckons for the South if this combination of Northern gangsters,Inner City criminals and Dublin 4 types is allowed any part in government.

Social equity. Reducing parasitism

If Bertie Ahern had anything to commend him, it was cutting the number of long-stay psychiatric hospital beds,a particularly perspicacious move given the systematic violence against patients in the Northern health system. That abuse,in reality, is an extension of the prison system.

Is there any point in telling the truth in Irish politics, one wonders, when Stephen Donnelly stated before the General Election in the South that money was not the problem in the health service and stuck tightly to his guns by rejecting the  proposition that new entrants to medicine should be paid obscenely high salaries and that he should, for his part, deflate the real purchasing power of many taxpayers.

It seems to me that the South will have a collective mental breakdown for no good reason if it buys into Sinn Fein's flim-flam rhetoric.

Sinn Fein agitation in public houses?

What I am driving at is that nothing sensible is spoken in any public house or in company where strong liquor has been consumed. It is mere balderdash and drunken hashing,so do not go in there to talk politics or for any reason (unless it is to welcome an old friend back after a long absence).
