A message to the young and to the followers of Marx and Castro

Progressive literature will soon be a thing of the past thanks to the efforts of feminists, neo-cons and historical revisionists.

Having read all of Marx,Lenin and Connolly and Trotsky and most of Stalin,I do ask,"Why skirt around an issue like Karl Marx and Lenin did with 30 000 and 25 000 pages to their respective credit?" The problem for so many people is not the economy but rather the organisation of society.

Young people,approach with caution a long-winded old blather Fidel Castro,he of the twelve-hour speech. Direct your attentions, young writers with an economic orientation to the question of the world economy which is shifting its focus onto China. That is,those of you who want to write a scholarly, sympathetic book about labour, capital, society,poverty and imperialism to match Engels'  The Condition of the The English Working Class.

If you have the nous and ability,those of you hoping to make a scholarly breakthrough, direct your attention to the state of law and government in our top-down modern societies and the ever-present risks to life and liberty posed by the police and hospital bureaucracy.

Cognoscenti, remember the problems posed to the young Soviet Government by industrial bureaucracy and the subsequent development of a cult of personality  by the media and selfsame bureaucratic caste (god-building,otzovism,Lenin,1911-3,Collected. Works) Stalin gave the State Control  Commission a free hand to destroy opposition, disrupt protest and imprison the so-called Enemies of the People.

Ignore the media?

Some people should learn to hol' their whisht in public,we repeat when we hear BBC Radio 4 "Kremlin-watchers" on the radio and see on our screens US Presidents making flying visits to US troops stationed in other countries.

Cuba -the island experiment 

For the unlearned and those lacking in basic erudition and manners,Cuba has always been one of the most ill-divided and flagrantly racist societies on the planet where blacks and poor rural and urban dwellers are treated appallingly. 

Sensible and intelligent people in the Americas call for tight sanctions on trade with Cuba and describe it as a sponsor of international terrorism and a threat to peace and stability in the region. Those who had no time for Castro included even the left-leaning Mexicans and they gave equally short shrift to Morales of Lake Ithaca fame.

Any few pence in foreign currency Cuba receives is given to its soulmates in foreign countries such as in Ireland and India to stir up dissent against the elected government, particularly those countries' defence measures.

No Latin country has ever had a well-balanced leader until its problems threaten to become insuperable and the lower orders threaten unrest and revolution. 

In Cuba as in all modern countries,dissenters are imprisoned in psychiatric hospitals.

 Cuba has always starred in tables of human rights abuses, public injustice and social inequality compiled by internationally recognised bodies.
