The murderous rages pursued by English rulers and governments have their echoes in Ireland today. We see this phenomenon in rulers and false counsellors,the Gardai and Irish Army and the strays on motorbikes and in souped-up cars and on push bikes. An example of these influencers is that financially astute fool,the man from The Dalkey Archive, Paul Hewson. (Like most Free State songsters,his head is not properly screwed on).
Civil peace?
The Gardai are rarely to be seen where they are needed most in places such as Ballyfermot and Ballymun and Tallaght and Clondalkin. That is because of entrenched attitudes towards the poor and the belief in a hierarchy of interests,not needs.
In July-August 1988 the dog's leg of the Gardai,Paul Hewson welcomed me to Dublin with his mawkish,silly, conservative ditty "One".

The Free Presbyterians attract an even lower form of riff-raff. In Enniskillen on the Catholic side,we endure the presence of other preachers of bigotry,hatred and loathing,notably those who spread malicious rumours,I am thinking of Mickie Mc G. and Ms. Berniece S. amongst others.
Catholicism? Its proper role?
The church's minimal role is to be an honest witness and good counsellor to the young, ageing, elderly and spiritually undernourished.
Can an Irish Catholic Church with its roots in France be anything other than a focus for recalcitrant Green Tories? In short,the offal of society has emerged into the open and dominated social protest to the neglect of public charity. The Church could find funds for remedial work to its lay structures from its ill-gotten goods and be of real benefit to the needy if it wanted to be a true champion of the poor.

In 1990 Bush Snr. promised "a kinder,gentler America" but what we got was a hundred thousand Iraqi conscripts reduced to cinders and ashes by USAF fuel-air explosives, a holocaust of war dead and injured.
At that time,the international socialist movement was punch-drunk on blows from left and right.
The Iraqi government was deserted and betrayed by Gorbachev and his allies in the West.
The heart of the matter
In 1990 US imperialism and Bush Senior's ultimate goals were none other than the domination of the oil-producing countries and the break-up of the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union,its fate
Gorbachev was partly responsible for a great cultural legacy being divided up and ruined,thrown to the wolves.
In Irish recollection,the fate of the Soviet Union must be remembered. We must not co-operate with the American war-drive nor offer our youth up as a human holocaust.
Ireland and a comparison for national democracy
The breakup of the Soviet Union was a modern catastrophe which left many poor and developing countries at the mercy of NATO barbarism and US and European imperialists. Gorbachev was responsible for this major setback for modernity but the rot had already set in when he came to power. There was political inflexibility, mounting foreign criticism and a poverty of economic ideas. In the late 1980's the CPSU and Gorbachev turned their backs on true and false friends alike.
The cardinal lesson for Ireland
Countries under the imperialist yoke which endeavour to respect the rights of other lands,territories and dominions should be firm with NATO and the countries which are trying to drag us into a miasma of wars.
Irishmen,reject British political claims to Ireland and be prepared to face the English down if they threaten or lay claim to our territory or wealth. Britain's days as a great power are numbered and Britain can no longer defend itself against internal subversion or external attack(s).

Let us all hope,as Sinn Fein rises to the top and Irish Unity approaches,that republicans will do good law and proper justice by all.
How?
Start by registering and exiling foreign agents and arresting imperialist stooges in politics such as Tony Blair's man-on-the-ground in Ireland,Bertie Ahern.
We all want full and equal rights before the law,fair treatment by judges and rulers and compensation from the Dublin-London partitionist,divide-and-rule junta for losses from 1971 to 2016.
